I would like to welcome you to our web site. I find that it is not possible to describe our area in just a few words, but we can give you some idea of what we have to offer in the Marion County area. Imagine the benefits of relocating to a small community. Marion County has over 600 square miles of area and only 16,000 residents. Personal service is the norm. When you visit the post office, local stores, or banks, it is the usual thing to be greeted on a first-name basis.
A relocation to our beautiful Ozark Mountain area will be very rewarding whether you are a career-minded person or a retiree. We have a lot to offer. Not the least is the weather. Our climate is mild, yet we enjoy four distinct seasons.
For the career-minded person, our area offers many professional, manufacturing and service employment opportunities. Flippin is known worldwide as the home of Ranger Bass Boats.
Both Flippin and Yellville (home of Turkey Trot) are located on US 62/412 between Mountain Home (Baxter County) and Harrison (Boone County) here in North Central Arkansas.
For retirees or working folks, there are many sporting activities like bowling, golfing or fishing. Other attractions, not just important for retirement, are low crime, low property taxes, and low Real Estate prices.
If the great outdoors is important to you, you will want to visit the lakes and streams in the Twin Lakes Area: Norfork Lake, Bull Shoals Lake, the White River, the Buffalo National River or Crooked Creek. Common fish include Rainbow Trout, Small Mouth Bass, Large Mouth Bass, Stripers, Crappie, and Catfish. Hunting for White Tail deer and wild turkey are two popular sports, too.
